Our client is a global VAT and tax compliance specialist, part of one of the largest tax recovery groups in the world — operating across multiple jurisdictions and servicing clients worldwide. They call their Operations Support team "The All-Rounders." That should tell you everything about what this role demands. The Role This is a cross-functional, high-impact analyst position sitting at the heart of the business — managing compliance cases, driving R&D initiatives, leading internal projects, and liaising directly with clients, tax authorities, and stakeholders across the globe. You won't be siloed. You'll work across departments, jurisdictions, and problem types — building deep expertise in global VAT and US Sales Tax while contributing to the operational engine of a fast-moving international business. Important to note: The first 12 months are structured as a foundational learning period — building core knowledge of systems, processes, and workflows before stepping into more complex, high-impact responsibilities. This is a long-game role for someone who wants to be built properly. What You'll Be Doing Compliance Case Management Manage a broad range of VAT and US Sales Tax cases to timely, accurate resolution Proactively tackle emerging case types through research and process updates Lead consulting cases with tailored, practical solutions for clients Identify trends and document solutions to drive continuous improvement Project Management Lead and execute key projects critical to business operations Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver on time and scope Identify and scope projects that enhance operational efficiency Research & Development Conduct ongoing global VAT and US Sales Tax research Develop solutions and strategies to prevent recurring issues Provide accurate, timely advice to clients and internal stakeholders Ad-Hoc & Operational Support Support the Operations Support Manager across a range of operational tasks Drive complex problem-solving initiatives with clients and tax authorities Contribute to team growth and professional development strategies Requirements Strong problem-solving ability — comfortable managing multiple cases and projects simultaneously Critical thinker who communicates clearly across regions and stakeholder levels Excellent time management, organisational skills, and attention to detail Proactive attitude toward process improvement and continuous learning A team player and culture carrier — high energy, high standards Background in tax, compliance, finance, or a related field advantageous
