The Role
We're getting busier, and as such need some more help in the kitchen! This role is ideal for a passionate, hard working individual, with a commitment to high standards and an interest in learning and developing their skills in the kitchen.
We anticipate the role's hours to be approximately 8-15 hours per week 2- 4 days per week from 5pm -8pm (depending on your preference) therefore this role may suit someone who already has a job during the day and would like something that not only supplements their income but stimulates them and challenges them as a chef. We are a high performing kitchen, thus we only consider applicants who hold themselves and those around them to a high standard.
Your main responsibilities include:
- Monitoring quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation.
- Discussing food preparation issues with managers, kitchen and waiting staff.
- Demonstrating techniques and advising on cooking procedures.
- Preparing and cooking food to a consistently high standard.
- Understanding the food control plan and understanding the cleaning standards and processes within the kitchen.
- Ensure all food is prepped and portion controlled prior to service to ensure no food prep is required to be completed during service.
- Ensuring clear communication between the kitchen, front of house and head office.

Skills / Experience
You will be required to work as efficiently as possible, in a busy team environment, so great communication skills will give you instant bonus points. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to step up in their cooking career while working alongside an awesome team!
