Position Overview:
The Demand Generation & Field Force Effectiveness Lead is responsible for driving structured, data-driven demand generation practices and enhancing field force productivity across the Crop Protection business. This role focuses on strengthening activity planning, improving campaign effectiveness, enabling field teams with the right tools and capabilities, and ensuring optimal utilization of resources to deliver superior farmer engagement, conversion, and business outcomes. The incumbent will work closely with Demand Generation, Sales, Marketing, and Digital teams to build scalable frameworks and drive consistent execution excellence.
1\. Activity Planning & Execution Frameworks
* Establish and institutionalize processes and tools for:
* Activity planning and calendarization
* Farmer contact planning and coverage
* Activity tracking and monitoring
2\. Effectiveness Measurement & Analytics
* Develop and deploy standardized tools for:
* Activity evaluation and farmer surveys
* Key metrics tracking (Purchase Intention, Retention, Conversion)
* Continuous improvement goal setting
* Design and implement cost tracking mechanisms including:
* Cost per farmer contact
* Cost per farmer conversion
* Drive communication clarity and effectiveness by improving:
* Product positioning
* Features, Advantages & Benefits (FAB) articulation
3\. Grower Programs & Engagement
* Develop grower program concepts and ensure effective implementation across regions
* Track program effectiveness, ROI, and impact on demand generation outcomes
4\. Territory Planning & Target Setting
* Create and continuously improve territory/resource planning frameworks
* Drive structured target setting and planning strategies aligned with business objectives
5\. Budget, Agency & Campaign Management
* Manage demand generation budgets in alignment with Product Lifecycle (PLC) priorities
* Drive cost optimization through cost of acquisition tracking and analysis
* Oversee:
* Agency and vendor management
* Resource recruitment and onboarding processes
* Campaign planning and execution budgets
6\. Campaign Effectiveness
* Partner with DG teams on campaign planning and execution
* Track campaign performance metrics including:
* Conversion rates
* Word-of-mouth (WOM) and network impact (Network 360)
* Cost of acquisition and ROI
7\. Launch Excellence (Lead-In / Launch Army)
* Drive Demand Generation strategy for new product launches, including:
* Launch Army resource allocation and territory planning
* Campaign design and execution strategy
* Field execution training for Launch Army teams
* Track launch effectiveness and ROI
8\. Field Force Enablement
* Enable field teams with best-in-class DG tools and practices to build strong field champions
* Drive capability building through:
* Training platforms (eLMS, Lazer Farm, Farmer Connect apps)
* DG tools training programs
* Ensure effective utilization of tools such as:
* Metamorph for activity tracking
* Digital farmer engagement platforms
9\. Business Tracking & Operational Support
* Track key business metrics including:
* Liquidation tracking
* LPD project execution
* Provide support through technology help desk and DG tools enablement
10\. Cross-functional Collaboration
* Partner with Marketing and DG teams to:
* Develop strategies, processes, and projects aligned to growth plans
* Drive demand generation excellence with focus on new product launches
* Work closely with Digital Enablement teams to establish platforms for DG planning and execution
* Collaborate with Marketing Communication teams to design engagement tools and activation programs
* Work with ASM/DSM and DG Leads to build and manage robust DG data systems across regions, covering both Seeds and Crop Protection
Qualifications & Experience
Education
* Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agriculture, Agribusiness, Marketing, or related field
Experience
* 8–12 years of experience in demand generation, commercial excellence, marketing analytics, or sales enablement, preferably in Crop Protection / Agri-input industry
* Strong exposure to field execution models, farmer engagement, and channel dynamics
