We have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Officer to join the NSW EPA’s Contaminated Land Management Team within the Regulatory Practice & Services division.
This is an administration-based role that plays a key part in supporting the NSW EPA’s Accredited Site Auditor Scheme.
In this role, your regular duties will include
- Managing a high-volume email inbox, ensuring timely and accurate responses
- Recording and maintaining documents in accordance with the EPA’s record management processes and systems
- Coordinating meetings, including securing a suitable venue, coordinating invites and managing logistics both in advance and on the day
- Tracking tasks and deadlines to ensure work is delivered on schedule
- Sending emails to internal and external stakeholders and drafting letters and other written documents
- Preparing accurate invoices and purchase orders using the EPA’s processes and systems
- Providing other administration support as needed
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Be able to effectively prioritise and manage your own workload
- Demonstrate strong organisational skills which will allow you to manage work tasks using a structured and systematic approach
- Have well developed computer skills and be proficient in using Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word and Teams
- Be able to write emails, draft letters and prepare other written documents clearly
- Be willing to learn about the Site Auditor Scheme (no prior knowledge required)
The Contaminated Land Management Team is one of the EPA’s Technical Services teams. The team administers the NSW EPA’s site auditor scheme, provides technical contaminated land advice and support to staff across the EPA and to other NSW government agencies and leads on the development and update of technical contaminated land guidelines.
