About the Role
~1 min readNSW National Parks & Wildlife Service (NPWS) is seeking an experienced Project Officer Radio to join a small, high-performing team delivering expert advice, support and reporting across the Asset & Infrastructure Branch and geographically dispersed NPWS teams. In this role, you will contribute to the ongoing improvement and implementation of radio communications systems and networks across NPWS. Working closely with the Senior Asset Officer you’ll be relied upon to support the delivery of identified branch projects and programs while supporting reliable, effective statewide radio operations.
Working as part of this cohesive and experienced team, this is an excellent opportunity to further develop your skills in coordinating and monitoring statewide radio system operations and maintenance. The role includes technical oversight of the NPWS VHF radio network, the Public Safety Network, and support for new and emerging radio communications initiatives. You’ll also coordinate contractors and contract arrangements with telecommunications providers and help resolve technical issues in collaboration with technical advisers and external contractors. A key focus will be supporting the smooth transition from the NPWS VHF radio network to the PSN radio network.
This role will suit a self-starter who can work independently while also contributing effectively within a small team. We’d love to hear from you if you have:
- Working proficiency in SAP4Hana – MyWorkZone Enterprise Asset Management.
- Demonstrated experience using and administration of radio and communication networks/systems.
- Experience in training and imparting knowledge in the development, use and improvement of radio or communications systems at all levels within an organisation.
- Demonstrated project management experience and procurement experience.
- Understanding of asset management principles and maintenance procedures including application of risk management principles.
- Demonstrated experience managing large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
Requirements
