Casual Kitchen Porter

The Kitchen Porter supports the day-to-day operations of the Waurn Ponds Pantry kitchen. You must be quick-thinking and agile, with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, utilizing your strong verbal communication skills. Additionally, you should have the ability to work in a team environment and maintain an eye for detail.

• Minimum 1 year experience in a busy kitchen environment
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a busy environment
• Must possess reliability, self-motivation, organizational skills, and excel as a team player
• Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The role requires the incumbent to apply and maintain a Working With Children Check

• →Organise, manage, and independently operate your assigned section
• →Washing and sanitising dishes, glassware, utensils, and kitchen equipment
• →Keeping the kitchen, dish area, and storage areas clean and organised
• →Assist in delivery of events, functions and daily café service
• →Assisting with basic kitchen prep and tasks as required
• →Daily and regular deep cleaning, recycling and waste removal
• →Adhere to health and hygiene standards at all times
• →Assist in fostering and nurturing a culture of professionalism and pride in the workplace
