The Electrical Systems Engineer designs, develops, tests, implements and / or enhances electrical systems. Develops and maintains electrical and related hardware and components for complex electro-mechanical devices. May work on servo systems, analog and digital logic as well as general system integration. Ensures appropriate electrical system integration with mechanical and software elements of products, systems and devices.

  • Develop and maintain system-level electrical architectures for complex electro-mechanical products.
  • Works with Lead EE to ensure circuit designs are included in cross-functional/platform design reviews prior to Gerber-out.
  • Assists in developing, reviewing and executing the test plans for design.
  • Define electrical interfaces, power distribution schemes, communication networks, grounding strategies, and system interconnect requirements.
  • Create electrical block diagrams, system schematics, interface control documents, and architecture specifications.
  • Assists in driving assigned issues to closure through root cause analysis and performed real-time updates to issues database.
  • Understands suppliers' product roadmap.
  • Assists other design engineers on team as necessary.
  • Designs basic electrical components and ensures they meet all standards and specifications.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, systems, firmware, software, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams.
  • Minimum of 0-4 years of relevant experience or equivalent combination of education and experience in Electrical Engineering.
  • Location: Onsite, North Canton, Ohio
  • Travel required up to 20 % within US and international as needed basis. 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Use CAD software and business productivity tools including computers and all relevant software.
  • Design & execute tests and technical report writing.
  • Familiarity with UL, CE, FCC, IEC, and other applicable industry standards.
  • Understanding of sustainability and environmental issues related to packaging.
  • Requires excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively within a team environment. 
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
