M&A and Transaction Support

  • Support M&A accounting and due diligence engagements, helping clients understand the accounting implications of a deal before, during, and after close
  • Assist with IPO readiness-financial statement preparation, SEC reporting requirements, and audit-ready close processes for companies heading to the public markets
  • Support carve-out financial statement preparation and post-merger integration accounting for PE-backed and corporate clients

Business Transformation & Process Improvement

  • Drive finance function improvements- system implementations, reporting automation, workflow optimization, and close process acceleration
  • Partner directly with CFOs, Controllers, and finance leadership to deliver practical, scalable solutions, not just slide decks
  • Build real client relationships- you’ll be the person they call when something complex comes up, not just a headcount on an engagement

Technical Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Research and resolve complex US GAAP accounting matters, revenue recognition (ASC 606), lease accounting (ASC 842), and other technical areas that require a real point of view, not just a memo
  • Support financial statement preparation, month-end close, and reporting accuracy for clients navigating growth or transition
  • Assist with SOX compliance, internal controls assessments, and audit readiness, bringing practical solutions, not just findings
  • At least one year of experience as a Senior Associate in external audit; ideally from a top 8 firm
  • Or: strong audit foundation from a top firm, followed by a year in industry, and now ready to move back into advisory where the growth is
  • CPA license or active progress toward it preferred
  • Someone who wants to earn based on results, not politics or seniority
  • Houston-based or ready to be, with flexibility if you enjoy travel

Top Earning Potential: Highest comp in the mid-market advisory space, and it’s merit-driven

Award-Winning Culture: Consistently ranked best workplace, the kind of place you’ll actually tell people about

Real Advancement: New clients + internal promotions = openings that actually need to be filled — by you

Work-Life Balance: They talk about it because they actually mean it. Regional model, minimal mandatory travel
