Manufacturing Test Engineer I

Echodyne offers its radars to companies working in Automotive, Transportation, Critical Infrastructure Protection, Border Security, Smart Cities, Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS), and Airspace Management including Urban Air Mobility (UTM).

Echodyne is seeking a Manufacturing Test Engineer to develop, implement, and optimize test systems and procedures that ensure product quality and production efficiency. This role is critical in planning, executing, and continuously improving the evaluation of new and existing test processes.

This position is best suited for someone who is detail-oriented, passionate about technology, and thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Working closely with engineering, quality, IT, and production teams, the Senior Manufacturing Test Engineer will drive efficiency, improve process robustness, and support automation initiatives that scale Echodyne’s manufacturing capabilities. This role reports to Manager, Mfg Test.

• →Design, implement, and maintain test hardware and software for the production line.
• →Support test systems throughout the full lifecycle of development, implementation, scaling, and refinement
• →Work with manufacturing engineers, technicians, quality, design engineers, and IT to integrate and support test systems.
• →Plan and execute evaluations of new or updated test processes to ensure accuracy, repeatability, and compliance with requirements.
• →Monitor and analyze test data to drive continuous improvement in yield, throughput, and quality.
• →Create documentation and provide training to production staff on test procedures and tools.

• Experience developing or supporting automated test systems.
• Programming proficiency in Python (MATLAB familiarity a plus).
• Ability to design and deploy complete automated test systems.
• Ability to interpret and apply assembly drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.
• Knowledge of computer/instrument interface protocols.
• Strong problem-solving and process development skills.
• Demonstrated ability to organize resources and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
• Effective oral, written, and presentation communication skills.

• Experience providing Design for Test (DFT) input during product development.
• Familiarity with SolidWorks, Altium and/or other industry CAD tools.
• Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
• Ability to build collaborative relationships across teams and with external partners.

• BS in electrical, electronic, test engineering or related technical discipline, with
• 2 or more years of experience in a Test Engineering or similar environment.
