We're hiring a SEO Lead, Organic Growth to own how users discover Emergent across search engines, AI-powered answer systems, generative engines, and app stores. This is a high-impact role at the intersection of strategy, experimentation, and measurable business growth. We're looking for someone who can lead with vision and get hands-on with execution.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Own the entire organic acquisition strategy across web search (SEO), answer engines (AEO), generative engines and LLMs (GEO), and app stores (ASO for Google Play and Apple App Store).
- →Define annual and quarterly organic growth roadmaps aligned with business OKRs, translating visibility into revenue, installs, qualified demand, and long-term brand equity.
- →Lead technical SEO across crawlability, indexation, site architecture, Core Web Vitals, JavaScript SEO, structured data, and schema at scale. Partner with product and engineering to bake SEO into every release.
- →Drive intent-led on-page SEO strategy across category pages, product pages, and mid-funnel content. Build scalable frameworks for topic clusters, internal linking, and content depth.
- →Lead ethical, scalable link-building and authority strategies through digital PR, partnerships, and content-led initiatives.
- →Own ASO strategy end-to-end: keyword research, store listing copy, visual assets, ratings velocity, and conversion rate experiments across both app stores.
- →Build visibility across featured snippets, People Also Ask, voice search, and knowledge panels through structured answers and schema-led optimisation.
- →Lead Emergent's approach to Generative Engine Optimisation (GEO), improving brand citations and visibility across ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Copilot, and similar LLMs.
- →Define success metrics beyond vanity numbers. Build dashboards across organic traffic, revenue, app installs, share of voice, and assisted conversions that leadership can rely on.
- →Mentor and upskill SEO, ASO, and content team members. Influence product, engineering, design, and PR teams as the organic growth thought leader.
- 8 to 10+ years of deep, hands-on experience in SEO with proven, metric-backed wins across traffic, revenue, and rankings.
- Strong mastery across on-page, off-page, and technical SEO, with hands-on experience in App Store Optimization.
- Proven experience driving ecommerce or high-scale consumer product SEO growth.
- Actively experimenting with AEO and GEO, with a strong understanding of how AI and LLMs are reshaping search and discovery.
- Thinks like a marketer first and a channel expert second: understands user intent, funnels, and conversion, and can tie organic efforts directly to business outcomes.
- Comfortable operating without playbooks in a fast-moving, ambiguous environment.
- Experience with tools including Google Search Console, GA4, Ahrefs or Semrush, App Store Connect, and Google Play Console.
