## About this opportunity Ericsson’s Global Disputes & Investigations team within Group Legal is seeking qualified applicants for a senior role working as an experienced investigations manager who will lead a team of lawyers protecting the company in connection with government-facing investigations by U.S. and global law enforcement and regulatory authorities. The position reports to the Head of Global Disputes & Investigations. Corporate & Government Investigations (CGI) is responsible for the investigation of potential legal and compliance violations within Ericsson and is a critical support in ensuring the effectiveness and credibility of its ethics and compliance program, defending Ericsson’s commitment to integrity, building trust with stakeholders (including government authorities), and ultimately driving the Company’s sustainable success. This exciting role critically involves leading the core team handling Ericsson’s response to an ongoing U.S. Department of Justice investigation and advises on global government agency requests and related litigation, settlement or other issues. The Head of Enforcement role importantly involves close collaboration with colleagues in CGI, litigation, legal, compliance and the business on the execution of investigations and related matters. The position is hybrid (remote and in office) with an “office first” approach of approximately 60% of the time in the office. The position is in Washington, D.C., but applicants in and around New York, N.Y or Plano, Texas will also be considered. ## In this role as Head of Government Enforcement, you will: * Manage government-facing investigations and requests and support our engagement with government enforcement authorities and regulators, including on litigation, agreements and other matters * Give legal advice in connection with investigations, particularly investigations by government authorities, and at all times act with integrity, objectivity and fairness * Supervise a team of lawyers, including by setting expectations and holding people accountable, providing training and coaching as needed, resolving conflicts, building morale, addressing resource needs and managing workload * Supervise external counsel on investigations, including providing guidance on the appropriate handling of such matters, the preservation and collection of relevant data, the timely review and production of data to the investigating governmental authority, and the tracking of materials sought, collected, and produced as appropriate * Collaborate with colleagues and develop relationships with stakeholders including litigation counsel, auditors, and human resources professionals * Provide input on the need for and maintaining attorney client privilege; ensuring that investigations are conducted under attorney-client privilege where applicable and using internal resources or external counsel * Draft clear written reports summarizing investigation findings * Support remediation including personnel action and addressing process control gaps * Collaborate with the Head of Corporate Investigations in the development of investigations policies and processes and improvements to investigations tools ## Required qualifications: * A J.D. degree or equivalent * 15+ years’ experience handling investigations or in related areas * Significant experience as a people manager and team leader * Experience handling complex international investigations, such as Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and other anti-corruption issues, money laundering, anti-terrorist financing, export controls and sanctions, and anti-competition * Fluency in English * Strong communication, writing and presentation skills * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to collaborate with others * Demonstrated ability to independently handle and manage complex matters, as well as manage multiple matters at one time, and to excel in ambiguity * Demonstrated ability to think strategically with regard to scoping, handling and resolving investigations * Demonstrated ability to act with urgency and operate in a fast-moving environment * Flexibility in accommodating work across several time zones * Ability for occasional international travel ## Additional preferred capabilities or qualifications: * Experience at an international technology or telecom company * Foreign language fluency ## Notice: Ericsson Inc. does not sponsor US work authorizations for this job position including H-1B, O-1, and TN. Your Pay The salary range for this position is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, and the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience. Washington, DC / New York: $300,000 - $325,000 Plano, Texas: $290,000 - $305,000 Short-Term Variable Compensation Plan: Your pay also includes the opportunity for an annual bonus. Actual bonus payouts are based on performance of the business against the unit’s objectives, individual performance, and the individual bonus target. Certain eligibility and pro-ration rules apply. Your Health Ericsson offers excellent health benefits including the choice of three medical plan options and a dental plan option that allow an employee to select the level of coverage that suits their needs. Employees will receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost that Ericsson pays toward the cost of their medical and dental premiums for themselves and eligible covered dependents. Your Financial Security We invest in both your short and long-term financial wellbeing. The Ericsson US 401(k) Plan offers an automatic 3% company contribution and Ericsson match $1 for every $1 you put into the 401(k) Plan on the first 3% of your eligible pay, plus 50 cents on every $1 on the next 2% of eligible pay. When you contribute at least 5% of eligible pay, you are receiving Ericsson’s full matching contributions of 4%. Matching and company automatic contributions stop when your total eligible pay for the year reaches the IRS limits. Employees will also receive company credits in an amount equal to the cost of basic life insurance and basic accidental death and dismemberment coverage, as well as short-term and long-term disability coverage. Employees also have the option to participate in Ericsson’s Stock Purchase Plan. Your Time Your work-life balance is important to us. New employees are provided a minimum of 15 days of accrued vacation, up to 3 personal days per year, 11 annual holidays, 8 hours of volunteer time, and 80 hours of sick time annually. Please note paid time off is pro-rated based on the employee’s start date. Furthermore, Ericsson provides up to 16 weeks of paid maternity leave and 6 weeks of parental or adoption leave at 100% of pay.
