Job Summary:
The Power System Expert (Field Equipment Maintenance) supports Ericsson’s Operations and Engineering teams by carrying out on-site field service tasks to ensure network availability and meet Service Level Agreements (SLAs). Working primarily at local field sites, you will accept and execute work orders, perform preventive and corrective maintenance on power systems and access network equipment, assist with deployments and installations, and provide on-site customer support for business clients.
The role also includes continuous monitoring and supervision of network elements within power supply systems.
Responsibilities:
• Takes over and executes work orders in accordance with defined instructions
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance activities on power systems and access network equipment
• Monitors and supervises network elements within power supply infrastructure (rectifiers, UPS systems, battery banks, power distribution systems)
• Participates in the implementation of access network and power equipment; provides on-site support for business customers
• Reports on the operational status of the access network and power systems
• Maintains and manages access network and power equipment
• Installs and dismantles telecommunication and power devices according to technical instructions
• Performs cabling works required for connecting network and power devices within facilities
• Installs spare parts and replaces units and components of systems
• Performs complex (re)configuration of network and power equipment according to technical guidelines
• Performs repair works within facilities (such as basic carpentry or metalwork repairs)
• Provides support to employees within the same department
• Keeps records and controls spare parts
• Fieldwork is mandatory
• Shift work (24/7/365) as required
• On-call duty (standby)
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the immediate supervisor
To be successful in the role you must have:
• Strong expertise in power systems (hands-on field experience preferred over formal education)
• Ability to monitor and supervise network elements within power supply systems (monitoring tools, diagnostics, alarms handling)
• Mastery of LV distribution, grounding, and power protection
• Strong troubleshooting skills in live power environments
• Fluency in the local language is mandatory
• Basic knowledge of English language
• Category B driver’s license
• Willingness and ability to quickly learn and adapt to internal Ericsson proprietary tools (e.g., MSDP, IFS, ITSM, FSO CG app, etc.)
• Previous experience with Ericsson field tools is considered a significant plus, but is not mandatory
• Experience using Office 365 (E-mail, MS Forms, Teams, etc.)
• Specific medical fitness
