As a Director of Product Management for EverQuote’s Agency customers, you play a critical role in delivering products to market that empower local insurance agents to grow their businesses with confidence by making it more efficient to sell insurance.  You drive transformative growth for EverQuote via innovative and differentiated product solutions that sit at the heart of our organization’s core mission and largest strategic opportunities.

In this role you will envision, design, plan, and deliver new products and optimize existing products to enable our local agent customers. You own the roadmap, adoption, operation, business value, and life cycle of all Agency products at EverQuote. You own relationships with the users and customers of your products, you partner with stakeholders to define and execute a strategy that drives value-multiplied outcomes for our business. You are data-driven in your thinking and lead discussions with data. You build partnerships -- up, down, and across the business -- with other Product Managers, Engineers, Sales & Support, Analysts, and various Business stakeholders. You define metrics to measure progress and value of output and regularly provide direct visibility to senior leadership on all aspects of your product(s).

As a Director of Product Management, you are comfortable with ambiguity and possess an ownership mentality to drive meaningful outcomes for the business and our Agency customers.  You are analytical and possess excellent problem-solving skills. You communicate proactively with clarity, both orally and in writing, and excel in stakeholder relationship management. You have a strong background in Product Management and a proven track record of scaling growth across a broad product portfolio. You have passion, a team mentality in an evolving environment, and are able to respond to escalations with data and technical analysis.

This is a hybrid role requiring being in office several days a week.

The base salary range for this full-time hybrid position is $202,000-230,000. Starting salaries will generally be in the lower part of the salary range provided. Employees, depending on their specific role, level and responsibilities, may be eligible to participate in company variable compensation or equity programs.

Responsibilities

  • Align the Agency product portfolio with the company's financial and strategic goals using data to identify and build the right products for our customers
  • Partner with cross-functional teams across the organization to execute seamless product discovery, product designs, delivery, go-to-market strategies, and build strong feedback loops to power continuous improvement and innovation
  • Oversee the end-to-end execution of the product roadmap by managing a Product Manager and ensuring agile delivery aligns with broader business objectives
  • Identify and manage product performance KPIs in a way that has a positive, scalable impact on business metrics
  • Proactively communicate trends and identify a clear connection between the product and the business objectives and outcomes that matter to a wide breadth of stakeholders and customers
  • Advance the Agency product portfolio forward scalably, cost efficiently, and sustainably to ensure value delivery keeps alignment with the business objectives
  • Establish differentiation in the market through a healthy funnel of product opportunities in a prioritized backlog and ensure all work has clear acceptance criteria and business value associated
  • Oversee production launches of functionality with a roll-out plan, testing plan, and clear/measurable success criteria to continue or complete roll-out
  • Follow work through to the end value, not just to the end of your team’s work
  • Work closely with other teams & functions to coordinate dependencies and remove obstacles for your team along the way
  • Possess a continuous learner and continuous improvement mindset
  • 10+ years of B2B product management, with 4+ years in a formal people management role
  • Experience in the Insurance or AdTech industry is a plus
  • Previous experience leading products through different lifecycle stages and managing decision making at the leadership level
  • Fluency in SQL for self-service data analysis purposes
  • Deep experience leading cross-functional teams to deliver distinctive impact in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Proven ability to think strategically and execute solutions to address both defined and undefined problems
  • Excellent communication skills across all levels of an organization
