Finance Administrator Intern (3 month contract)

We are looking for a Finance Administrator Intern to join our Finance team. You will report to and work directly with the Payables Manager responsible for the accounts payables duties and ad-hoc finance initiatives to drive operational excellence. You will work closely with other Payables team members, you will be directed by Assistant Manager to ensure a robust process, control and compliance are in place for payment operations. This is a hands-on, challenging and rewarding role in which you will need strong interpersonal skills and possess a strong business acumen while being a talented finance professional. .
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Process approved invoices for payments: Verify and input supplier invoices into the Accounting System.
- Track, verify and process staff expense reimbursements.
- Investigate and resolve any supplier’s invoice discrepancies/issues.
- Assist to prepare Accounts Payable related reconciliations, other ad hoc or recurring expense analysis.
- Work collaboratively with business partners to complete new vendor onboarding procedure, including but not limited to KYC, AML checks
- Obtain approval from Procurement/Payables Managers for new vendor and/or any updates of information for existing vendors
- Other ad hoc tasks as required.
- Assist to handle email inquiries from vendors and/or internal employees
- Assist to update process documentations
Requirements
~1 min read- Student enrolled in diploma or degree in Finance or Accounting from accredited institution
- Professional fluency in written and spoken English
- Proficiency in MS Office (or equivalent), for data analysis and presentations
- A team player, ability to build good relationships
- Demonstrated ability for critical thinking with a solution mindset
- Self-driven with strong attention to detail
- Experience in NetSuite, especially AP module
- Experience in Citizens, HSBC, DBS, CitiDirect
- Reports to Assistant Accounts Payable Manager

- At the moment, we do not sponsor visas in the EU. For Hong Kong, we require at least two years of working experience and a university degree in a related field. For Singapore and the UK, we can only sponsor visas for mid-career or above.
