Fellowship Village is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Full-Time Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Rehabilitation team. The PTA will implement individualized physical therapy programs and provide physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a Licensed Physical Therapist, facilitating increased independence and improving the functionality of our clients.
  • Implement Treatment Plans: Assist in implementing each customer’s individualized treatment plan, as defined by the primary Physical Therapist’s Plan of Care.
  • Assist with Testing and Evaluations: Support the primary Physical Therapist during tests, evaluations, and complex procedures.
  • Instruct Clients: Provide instruction to clients on techniques for mobility activities, progress, attitudes, and behaviors as related to rehabilitative potential, under the direction of the primary Physical Therapist.
  • Collaborate with Therapy Team: Work alongside other members of the therapy team to develop programs that are consistent with the needs and capabilities of each client.
  • Documentation: Complete all required clinical documentation in a timely manner to ensure that information is readily available in the client’s medical chart.
  • Attend Meetings: Participate in customer care meetings, staffing, and other required meetings under the direction of the Director of Rehabilitation, Office Manager, and/or primary Physical Therapist.
  • Maintain Equipment: Clean, maintain, and report the need for repairs on therapy equipment as necessary.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that clients and families receive the highest quality of care in a compassionate and respectful environment that meets individual needs.
  • Client Progress Communication: Maintain open communication with the primary Physical Therapist regarding client progress and supervise visit requirements.
  • Mission and Philosophy Support: Understand and support the mission and philosophy of FellowshipLIFE. Actively contribute to the goals of the Board of Trustees and administration as a member of the management team.
  • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant Program, certified by the American Physical Therapy Association.
  • Licensure: Licensed as required by the state of practice.
  • Experience: Prior experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant preferred but not required.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
