Foodics is looking for a commercially minded, analytical and technology-forward finance leader to own the company's FP&A and Investor Relations . This is not a traditional budgeting and reporting role. The Director of FP&A and Investor Relations will be a strategic partner to the CFO, CEO, Board and leadership team — translating performance into decisions, challenging assumptions, improving forecast quality, managing the company's relationships with investors and stakeholders, and building a scalable, AI-enabled FP&A function across a business operating at the intersection of SaaS, fintech and payments.
Responsibilities
~2 min read- →Own annual budgeting, long-range planning, rolling forecasts and reforecast cycles, with clear full-year landing views and disciplined forecast accuracy.
- → Lead monthly performance reviews across revenue, ARR, gross profit, margins, EBITDA, OPEX, cash flow, headcount and key operating metrics.
- →Translate results into concise executive insights: what changed, why it changed, what it means, and what management should do next.
- → Build driver-based financial models and base / upside / downside scenarios to support strategic and operating decisions.
- →Act as senior finance partner to Commercial, Product, Technology, Operations and People teams, challenging assumptions and improving resource allocation.
- → Strengthen OPEX, headcount, CAPEX and strategic-investment governance, with clear ownership and accountability across the business.
- →Evaluate pricing, new products, geographic expansion, partnerships, major commercial initiatives and M&A opportunities through robust business cases and post-investment reviews.
- →Upgrade FP&A systems, reporting and automation so the function scales with Foodics and relies less on manual spreadsheet-heavy processes.
- →Serve as a key point of contact for existing and prospective investors, lenders and other external financial stakeholders.
- →Prepare Board decks, investor updates, quarterly/annual reporting packages and ad-hoc materials that clearly articulate company performance, strategy and outlook.
- →Manage the capital-raise narrative and supporting materials (data rooms, financial models, KPI packs) in partnership with the CFO/CEO during fundraising or strategic transactions.
- →Own the investor reporting calendar, ensuring timely, accurate and consistent communication of financial and operating results.
- →Track investor sentiment, market trends, comparable company performance and industry benchmarks relevant to SaaS/fintech/payments to inform positioning.
- →Coordinate due diligence processes with investors, auditors and advisors, ensuring data integrity and consistency across all external-facing materials.
- → Use Claude to accelerate performance analysis, scenario modelling, business cases and management commentary.
- → Interrogate large financial / operating datasets and identify drivers, anomalies, trends, risks and opportunities.
- →Create repeatable AI workflows or agents for recurring FP&A tasks and ad-hoc executive analysis.
- →Combine Claude with Excel / Google Sheets, BI tools, SQL, planning systems or other finance technology.
- → Define where AI should automate work, where human judgment remains essential, and how outputs should be validated
- 10-15+ years of relevant experience in FP&A, commercial finance, business finance or strategic finance, with meaningful
- leadership responsibility.
- Professional qualification is mandatory: active CMA certification or CFA charter.
- Demonstrated strong understanding of both SaaS and Fintech industries, including recurring-revenue economics, retention, churn, unit economics, payments economics, margins and the key operating drivers of technology-enabled financial
- services.
- Demonstrated current and sophisticated use of Claude in day-to-day finance work; basic AI exposure is not sufficient.
- Direct partnership with senior executives and experience presenting to Executive Committee / Board / investor audiences.
- Advanced Excel / Google Sheets; BI, SQL, planning tool and finance automation experience are highly desirable.
