The Systems Support Administrator operates within the Systems Support team, acting as an escalation point for IT Support across our North American studios.
The team is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a robust technology infrastructure, including storage, networking, workstations, cloud, virtualization, and rendering. We prioritize growth through dedicated training and mentoring. Responsibilities

Escalation support for all incidents and requests using JIRA service desk

Support of storage requests
- →
Monitor and maintain a variety of physical and logical systems
- →
Administration of the OS images and Linux/Windows application packages
- →
Manage license servers and services
- →
Support of the Render farm (software)
- →
Support and administration of enterprise storage platforms and file systems
- →
Monitor system health, performance, and infrastructure alerts using monitoring tools such as Grafana and Nagios
- →
Able to work independently and in teams on administrative and technical projects
- →
Produce and update documentation using Confluence
- →
Collaborate with other technology teams on various projects and to support artists workflows and production requirements
- →
Partake in an on-call rotation to provide support outside standard working hours
- →
3+ years in a level 1 IT position or similar role
- →
Hands-on hardware experience; builds, upgrades, repair
- →
OS (Redhat based, Windows and OSX) and application support and deployment
- →
Active Directory management
- →
Basic scripting language (powershell, bash, python)
- →
Basic knowledge of Git/version control workflows
- →
Understanding of enterprise storage architecture and file systems (GPFS, Isilon, ZFS)

VMware ESXi administration and virtualization fundamentals
- →
Strong experience in a customer-facing role
- →
Strong self-guided problem-solving skills

Proven ability to adapt and work well under pressure and to tight deadlines.

Configuration Management and Automation
Windows Systems administration, patch management and deployment
Networking (Layer2, Layer3 including dynamic routing and VPN tunnels)
Backup and storage management
Familiarity with render farm infrastructure and VFX production environments
Exposure to cloud-based infrastructure and hybrid environments
New York Pay Range: $60,000 - $75,000 per year, non-exempt.
The posted range describes the minimum to maximum range for this job description in the state of New York. The range is posted in accordance with the New York City Pay Transparency Law. The range for this same position may be lower or higher in markets outside of New York City. Pay is dependent on the applicant's relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
