OBJECTIVE: The Senior Contract Associate will be responsible for managing and reviewing contracts related to the procurement of goods and services. This includes negotiating contract terms, ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, and maintaining accurate records of all contract-related activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Contract Management:

- Oversee the lifecycle of contracts related to the procurement of goods and services, including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating terms and conditions to ensure favorable outcomes for the company.

- Manage relationships with contractors, suppliers, and vendors to ensure compliance with contract terms and performance expectations.
Negotiation:
-
- Lead negotiations with vendors, suppliers, and other parties to secure optimal terms and mitigate risks. Provide guidance and recommendations on negotiation strategies.
Compliance:
-
- Ensure all contracts comply with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and industry standards. Monitor and address any compliance issues that arise.
Documentation and Record-Keeping:

- Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all contract-related activities, including executed agreements, amendments, and correspondence.

- Ensure that all contract documentation is up-to-date, accurate, and easily accessible.

- Implement and manage effective filing systems and databases to support efficient retrieval and tracking of contract information.
Risk Management:

- Identify and assess potential risks associated with contract terms and conditions. Develop strategies to manage and mitigate those risks effectively.
Collaboration:
-
- Work closely with internal stakeholders, including procurement, legal, finance, and operations teams, to align contract terms with business objectives and operational needs.
Continuous Improvement:
-
- Contribute to the development and improvement of contract management processes and practices. Recommend enhancements to streamline procedures and improve efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree in Law is mandatory.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Multicultural experience is a plus.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:
- 8 years of experience in contract management or a related role, with a strong focus on procurement contract, ideally in the Oil & Gas sector.
- Fundamental knowledge about oil and gas terminals and shipyard operations.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing and drafting contracts.
- Proficient in supply chain management software (Sage X3, SAP, Oracle).
