GHD’s Graduate Program is aimed at developing our future leaders and technical specialists.

During our two-year global graduate development programme our Graduate Engineers will work with our Engineering teams developing skills across a wide variety of projects in the Water, Energy, Industrial, Property and Buildings sectors both in the UK and overseas. Your contribution will make a positive lasting benefit to the environment and our communities.

Whilst learning about our business, our values, your team, and most importantly, yourself you will develop your decision-making, communication, technical and leadership skills. 

We offer mentoring and a variety of development activities, providing on the job experience and exposure to a diverse range of projects, as well as support towards gaining chartered status within your Engineering field.

You will get involved in a portfolio of different projects and apply your newly acquired skills in a range of environments. Your role will develop as your knowledge of our business increases, but initially you will be involved in :

• →Consulting Project Content Development: Develop and write materials that are highly visible—such as slide decks for standardized presentations to senior management, or sections of client reports—for review by more senior colleagues.
• →Data Collection and Analysis: Collate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.
• →Improvement/Innovation: Identify shortcomings in existing processes, systems, and procedures, and use established change management programs to address them.
• →Stakeholder Engagement: Assist with stakeholder engagement by arranging actions, meetings, events, and supporting materials to promote stakeholder understanding and commitment.
• →

  Document Management: Create a company-wide document management system and ensure compliance with it.

   

• →Landscape Architect with a minimum degree qualification from an Accredited Landscape Institute Course including skills in master planning, detailed design and delivery experience
• →Highly skilled in various design and graphics packages to include hand drawing, sketching, AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion and Adobe Suite
• →Background in landscape, urban design, environmental consultancy (preferred) 
• →Opportunity to work on a wide range of sectors in the UK, Europe and the Middle East 
• →Position is based in Newcastle upon Tyne and Leeds offices (hybrid/ part time working) with comprehensive benefits package, mentoring and on-going training.
