Technical Director - Battery Energy Storage System

We are looking for a Technical Director for Battery Energy Storage System to join our Energy Group, a key role in advancing our Future Energy strategy.

• →You will lead the technical management and delivery of renewable projects, particularly Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), across all phases—from development (technology selection, sizing, feasibility) to design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and operations.
• →You may also contribute to power generation opportunities including wind, solar, substations, and transmission design. 
• →The role supports the growth of the Future Energy group, including business development in the Philippines, and collaboration with GHD’s National Sector Lead for BESS.
• →Client Relationship: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure project success and high satisfaction.
• →Business Development: Drive new and repeat business in the Philippines Region; prepare proposals and bids; collaborate with Market and Business Group Leaders across disciplines (Environment, Advisory, PM).
• →Project Management: Lead BESS and multidisciplinary projects as Project Director/Manager or Technical Lead; ensure delivery on time, within budget, and to high quality standards.
• →Mentor junior engineers and support their development.
• →Provide technical leadership and QA/QC oversight.
• →Share knowledge and contribute to GHD’s global expertise.

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering (advanced studies/masters – to be given preference) 
• Minimum 8 years of industry experience in BESS projects. (exposure in a consulting environment – as an advantage)

This position is also open to expatriates with reputable experience in the market in the Philippines, under an international local hire arrangement.

This job offer can be based either in Makati or in our Quezon City office, depending on your home base / location.
