We’re looking for a proactive, people-focused HR Officer to support day-to-day HR operations across the employee lifecycle for our teams in South Africa and the UK.
The Role
This is a broad generalist role suited to someone who enjoys balancing pace and detail, building trusted relationships, and helping ensure HR processes are compliant, consistent and people-centred.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage joiner, mover and leaver processes, ensuring documentation is accurate and completed on time.
- Prepare contracts, offer letters, amendments and onboarding documentation.
- Coordinate onboarding, inductions, probation reviews and offboarding processes.
- Act as a first point of contact for HR queries, providing guidance on policies and procedures.
- Support employee relations and performance processes, including absence tracking and process administration.
- Maintain accurate employee records and support HR reporting, payroll inputs and benefits administration.
- Help ensure compliance with UK and South African employment requirements, as well as GDPR and POPIA.
- Support recruitment coordination, HR process improvements, policy rollout and employee engagement activities.
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in an HR Officer, HR Generalist or senior HR administration role
- Relevant HR qualification
- Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Understanding of HR compliance and data privacy requirements
Desirable
- Experience supporting both South African and UK HR processes
- Experience in a creative, professional services or fast-paced environment
- Experience using an HRIS such as BambooHR
- Exposure to recruitment, onboarding and performance cycles
