At Hart & Hickman, we're looking for a Junior Environmental Professional who's ready to take their early career to the next level. Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Support and manage environmental assessment and remediation projects locally and nationally, both in the field and in the office
- →Assist with site investigations, soil and groundwater sampling, and technical reporting
- →Work alongside project managers and senior consultants on Phase I/II ESAs, vapor intrusion assessments, and NC Brownfields projects
- →Learn to navigate state and federal environmental regulatory programs in North and South Carolina
- →Participate in field activities including site inspections, sampling events, and remediation oversight — expect to spend meaningful time outdoors and on-site
- →Collaborate with and learn from a team of experienced environmental professionals
- Bachelor's degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field
- 2–4 years of environmental consulting experience with demonstrated field and technical experience
- Familiarity with environmental site assessment and sampling protocols. Experience with regulatory programs in the Carolinas is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Someone who's curious, takes initiative, and wants to grow into a well-rounded consultant and leadership role over time
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, including in outdoor and field conditions
- Direct mentorship from experienced consultants and access to company leadership from day one
- Hands-on exposure to diverse, technically challenging projects across the Carolinas and beyond
