We’re hiring an in-house Accountant to take full ownership of Hive’s accounting function as we transition from an outsourced model to internal control.
This is a high-impact role at a pivotal moment for the company. You’ll own full-cycle accounting while helping us build the systems, processes, and infrastructure needed to scale. A key part of your mandate will also be supporting the implementation of a new ERP system and improving the speed and accuracy of financial data—so our leaders can make better, faster decisions.
Today, our accounting is managed externally. While this has worked to date, it creates challenges in speed, accuracy, and ownership. This role is critical to:
Reducing delays in month-end close
Improving confidence in financial reporting
Enabling timely forecasting and decision-making
Building scalable financial systems as we grow
Responsibilities
~1 min readYou’ll take ownership of the end-to-end accounting function across the business including:

Own full-cycle accounting (AP, AR, GL, journal entries, accruals) across multiple entities
- →
Manage and execute the month-end close process
- →
Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts
- →
Ensure accurate revenue recognition and reconciliation (SaaS/subscription-based)
- →
Prepare timely and accurate financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)

Manage expense programs and related tools

Support budgeting and forecasting processes
- →
Lead or support ERP system implementation
- →
Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and scalability
Experience with full-cycle accounting ownership
Strong hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
Experience with revenue recognition and balance sheet management
Experience with accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Chargebee, or similar)
Ability to independently manage deadlines and deliver high-quality outputs
Strong attention to detail and accuracy
High ownership and accountability
Analytical mindset with ability to investigate anomalies
Proactive in identifying improvements and inefficiencies
Clear communicator and strong cross-functional collaborator
Comfortable operating in evolving, less structured environments
Nice to Have

Background in SaaS or subscription-based revenue models
Experience in a high-growth or startup environment
Multi-entity accounting experience
Exposure to FP&A or forecasting
Familiarity with tools like Campfire, Rillet, or similar
