Your role focuses on technical modelling, data accuracy, and delivering outputs efficiently in a fast-paced environment.   Most of your day is spent working in Autodesk Revit, building parametric BIM objects that represent real construction products. You’ll create flexible, well-structured families, embed accurate data and ensure your models are efficient and compliant with industry standards. You’ll constantly balance detail with performance, so your objects are practical for real design projects.   Alongside modelling, you’ll work closely with BIM standards and structured data. You’ll ensure your work aligns with UK and global requirements and apply classification systems such as Uniclass or MasterFormat. Maintaining consistency and usability of data is a key part of your role, supported by internal guidance and documentation.   Collaboration is a big part of your day. As part of a global team, you’ll regularly work with other BIM Authors, Technical Data Authors, and team leads to clarify requirements, solve modelling challenges, and share knowledge. Clear communication is essential, and you’ll take part in daily team catch-ups within an agile working environment.   Quality assurance is central to what you do. Each object you create will be reviewed against internal standards, and you’ll refine your work based on feedback. Your attention to detail is critical, as the accuracy of your models directly impacts how useful they are to end users.   The role is output-driven, so strong time management and organisation are key. You’ll manage deadlines, handle varying levels of complexity, and track your progress using internal tools.   Overall, your role combines technical modelling, problem-solving, and collaboration. It’s well suited to you if you enjoy structured work, have a strong eye for detail, and are motivated by producing high-quality digital content used across the construction industry.
