Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Shape the architecture definition of the next generation of motor control System-on-Chip, ensuring scalability, robustness, and innovation from concept to silicon * Translate product-relevant application requirements into precise hardware and software specifications * Develop modular and scalable platform/family concepts in strong collaboration with the product definition team * Lead model-centric development approaches, owning the creation and maintenance of system-level models to validate architectural decisions early in the design cycle * Introduce and integrate AI-assisted methods and tools into the concept engineering workflow to accelerate architectural exploration, requirement analysis, and design space evaluation * Drive the adoption of robotics-aware system design, considering embedded motor control applications in next-generation robotic platforms as a key use case * Define and integrate of standard communication interfaces, including Ethernet, SPI, I²C, CAN, and LIN into SoC architectures * Partner closely with the technical marketing team, actively driving knowledge transfer to the SoC design team * Create and maintain technical documentation to provide Hardware and Safety/Cybersecurity Architecture descriptions, guaranteeing ISO 26262 compliance Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed As a Senior Staff Engineer Digital Concept, you have a passion for innovation with a track record of contributing to patents, research publications, or technology roadmap initiatives. Furthermore, you have a well-structured, independent, and solution-oriented working style with a strong sense of ownership. Furthermore, you are a team player with readiness to take on technical leadership responsibilities. * Master's or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field * At least 5 years of experience in digital SoC architecture, concept, or design engineering * Deep knowledge in digital hardware architecture, RTL design, and system-level integration * Experience leading cross-functional teams and driving alignment between concept, design, and application engineering * Hands-on experience with model-centric development methodologies (e.g., MATLAB/Simulink, SystemC, or equivalent modeling environments) * Working knowledge of AI tools and their application in concept work, including automated design space exploration, requirement traceability, and architecture validation * Knowledge in Chip Integration, packaging, and assembly, including crosstalk and interference awareness * Knowledge in safety analysis methods: FTA, DFA, FMEDA, HAZOP * Vehicle Cybersecurity ISO/SAE 21434. ISO 26262 certification and additional functional safety trainings is a plus * Familiarity with robotics system architectures and motor control applications in autonomous or collaborative robotic systems * Hands-on experience with Ethernet-based communication stacks and automotive communication interfaces (e.g., 100BASE-T1, AVB/TSN) * Fluency in English; German is a plus Contact: Carolina Moreira #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
