JOB FUNCTION / PURPOSEThe Warehouse Lead serves as the primary point of contact for the warehouse floor, coordinating daily activities and providing hands-on leadership. This role ensures that the team meets operational targets for the storage, control, and distribution of capital goods, production inventory, and spare parts.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Floor Leadership: Serves as the first point of contact for the crew. Allocates daily tasks, provides technical assistance, and ensures the team has the resources needed to complete assignments.
Hands-on Training: Leads the onboarding and on-the-job training for new hires regarding plant operations, SOPs, and safe work practices.
Workflow Coordination: Supervises the daily execution of receiving, material inspection, and parts pulling to ensure accuracy and speed.
Inventory Control: Performs cycle counts, investigates discrepancies, and prepares inventory reports. Uses Syteline to generate documentation and maintain real-time stock levels.
Safety Coordination: Acts as a safety champion on the floor, ensuring all personnel follow SOPs and meet DOT and OSHA requirements. Identifies and reports safety hazards immediately.
Inter-Departmental Support: Coordinates with Purchasing to ensure production supplies are available and assists in reconciling physical stock against purchase orders.
Office Support: Delivers supplies and packages to office personnel as required.
Operational Flexibility: Willing to work all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and 24-hour emergency on-call as needed.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience: High School Diploma or GED and 3–5 years of warehouse experience with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
Licenses/Certifications: Valid Forklift license.
Technical: Ability to interpret manual and operating instructions. Proficient in Microsoft applications and ERP systems (Syteline preferred).
Communication: Communicates clearly with both the team and management. Promotes a culture of respect and accountability.
Problem Solving: Pays close attention to detail. Identifies operational issues and suggests practical improvements to SOPs.
Managing for Results: Prioritizes tasks effectively to meet daily shipping and receiving deadlines. Delivers real-time feedback to team members.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Must be able to: frequently lift 50-60 pounds; load, unload & move large equipment/tools; access confined spaces; continuously walk and climb stairs and ladders.
