The Investment Products Specialist supports the design, development, and lifecycle management of investment solutions tailored to high-net-worth and institutional clients. This role combines product expertise, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure the delivery of innovative, compliant, and client-centric investment offerings.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- Lead the evaluation, design, implementation, and enhancement of investment and balance sheet products, including mutual funds, structured products, certificates of deposit (CDs), time deposits, money market solutions, lending products, and bespoke client solutions.
- Develop deep expertise in the end-to-end product lifecycle, including client experience, trading and execution workflows, custody, settlement, operational processes, restrictions, controls, and regulatory requirements, identifying opportunities to improve efficiency, scalability, and client outcomes
- Drive cross-functional product initiatives and platform enhancements by translating business needs into executable solutions, defining target-state operating models, coordinating stakeholders across Legal, Compliance, Operations, Technology, Risk, Treasury, and Front Office teams, and ensuring successful implementation and integration within the Bank.
- Work closely with legal, compliance, risk, operations, and finance teams to support product delivery.
- Partner with relationship managers and client advisors to gather feedback and refine offerings.
- Represent the investment product function in governance forums and strategic planning sessions.
- Ensure adherence to BSNAML, AML, and Bank Secrecy Act regulations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and support audit and compliance reviews.
- Act as a first line of defense in risk management, ensuring operational and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
~1 min read- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in the Financial Services industry, preferably in a product development or strategy/project management role.
- Strong understanding of capital markets, investment vehicles, and regulatory frameworks.
- Advanced interpersonal and influence management skills.
- Superior analytical and communication abilities.
- Fluency in English and Portuguese required, Spanish is preferred.
Compliance with Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act related principles, laws, rules and regulations, as well as Itau's related policies and procedures
