Compensation & Benefits
Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 CAD per annum, based on qualifications, experience, and applicable certifications

About ITPS
ITPS (Canada) Ltd. is one of the world’s leading independent flight test training organizations and has operated in London, Ontario since 2001. ITPS specializes in flight test training, engineering, aircraft modification, and consulting services for military and civilian aerospace organizations worldwide.
The ITPS Engineering & Maintenance (E&M) team continually maintains and enhances the company fleet to ensure training reflects modern avionics, aircraft systems, and flight test methodologies. Modification projects range from avionics upgrades and aircraft instrumentation integration to complex aircraft modifications affecting aircraft operational and flying characteristics.
The work environment is highly collaborative, hands-on, and multidisciplinary, supporting specialized aerospace and flight test operations.
Position Overview
ITPS is seeking an experienced Avionics Technician AME-E to support maintenance, troubleshooting, inspection, modification, and certification activities involving aircraft avionics and electrical systems.
The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and flight operations teams in support of specialized flight test and aerospace operations.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repair of aircraft avionics and electrical systems in accordance with:
- manufacturer recommendations,
- regulatory requirements,
- company policies and procedures,
- and industry standards
- Conduct testing and troubleshooting of aircraft avionics and electrical systems
- Complete certification of work, recording of discrepancies, and aircraft documentation in accordance with regulatory and company requirements
- Ensure assigned work is completed safely, efficiently, and effectively
- Ensure appropriate safety procedures and protective measures are followed during maintenance activities
- Assist with aircraft modification and avionics upgrade projects
- Complete technical paperwork, inspection records, and maintenance documentation
- Maintain clean and organized shop, hangar, and aircraft work environments
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and on-the-job training to other personnel where required
- Attend training courses and technical development programs as required
- Promote safe work practices and report hazards, incidents, or unsafe conditions to management
- Perform other related duties within the scope of the position as assigned by the supervisor
Requirements
- Valid Transport Canada AME-E licence
- Previous avionics maintenance experience in a commercial, military, or aerospace environment
- Experience troubleshooting and maintaining aircraft avionics and electrical systems
- Ability to interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and maintenance documentation
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standards
- Previous Aircraft Certification Authority (ACA) experience within an AMO environment is considered an asset
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams
- Must be eligible to work in Canada
- Must be able to pass background screening where required
