This is a senior engineering leadership opportunity focused on building and scaling multiple teams that deliver modern, consumer-grade healthcare technology. You will lead the development of GenAI- and ML-powered experiences designed to make healthcare navigation simpler and more accessible. Reporting to the VP of Engineering, you will own a major technology pillar with significant autonomy and end-to-end accountability. The role combines people leadership, technical strategy, product execution, and organizational scaling in a highly complex healthcare environment. You will partner closely with product, design, and architecture leaders to turn ambitious ideas into reliable, high-performing digital experiences. Success requires a leader who can recruit exceptional talent, modernize technology, navigate ambiguity, and consistently deliver against aggressive roadmaps.   • Lead, grow, and scale multiple software engineering teams, including recruiting, developing, retaining, and motivating senior technical talent.
  • Own the outcomes of a core engineering organization, establishing clear priorities, accountability, and execution standards.
  • Partner with product, design, and architecture leaders to translate complex healthcare journeys and business requirements into intuitive technology experiences.
  • Drive execution against ambitious product roadmaps, balancing speed, quality, scalability, and long-term technical strategy.
  • Lead the development and scaling of GenAI- and machine-learning-powered consumer experiences.
  • Oversee the architecture and operation of highly available, distributed systems and cloud-based services.
  • Modernize legacy technology and complex data workflows while maintaining reliability and continuity of existing services.
  • Establish a culture of engineering excellence, continuous delivery, accountability, and high-quality execution.
  • Identify and remove organizational and technical blockers to accelerate delivery and improve team effectiveness.
  • Translate complex technical concepts, risks, and opportunities into clear business strategies for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Collaborate across technology and business functions to ensure engineering investments deliver measurable customer and business outcomes.
  • Requirements

  • 8+ years of software development experience, including at least 4 years leading multiple engineering teams or managing engineering managers.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple software engineering teams delivering complex, high-scale technology-enabled services.
  • Deep experience designing, architecting, and maintaining highly available distributed systems and cloud-based services.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
  • Solid understanding of modern software development lifecycle practices, including CI/CD, automated testing, agile methodologies, and continuous delivery.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing senior engineering talent.
  • Experience managing complex data workflows and modernizing legacy codebases without disrupting critical services.
  • Strong technical judgment combined with the ability to connect engineering decisions to product and business outcomes.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain sophisticated technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Comfortable operating in ambiguous, fast-moving environments and navigating complex business and technical challenges.
  • Mission-oriented leadership style with a strong focus on customer impact and measurable results.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
