About the Role

As an Aged Care Home & Community Assistant, you will provide personalised home care support to older Australians in Yeppoon so they can continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients’ homes in Yeppoon and surrounds (including down to Zilzie) to support multiple people each day, so a willingness to travel is essential (you will be reimbursed .99c per KM travelled while you are working).

We have Permanent Part Time opportunities (20-25 hours per week) with shifts available between 7am and 7pm, with no evening or overnight shifts. This is a great opportunity for someone that is looking to make a positive impact in their community, while developing their skills and building a career.

Responsibilities

  • Build positive relationships with clients and their families

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Individual Support, Ageing Support or similar
  • An Australian Driver’s Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum third-party insurance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)
