Supervising Social Worker

Liquid Personnel is looking for an Independent Fostering Agency (IFA) in Wolverhampton is looking for a Supervising Social Worker (SSW) for their Fostering Service. The role involves supervising foster carers, addressing safeguarding concerns raised by a child's social worker, and providing emotional and practical support to foster families. Additionally, supervising social workers play a crucial role in recruiting foster carers, conducting assessments, and providing training before children are placed in care.

• →Ensure consistent communication among foster families, social workers, and foster children.
• →Conduct regular home visits and make phone calls to keep all parties informed throughout the placement.
• →Coordinate additional support for children, such as therapy or learning assistance, whenever necessary.
• →Support foster carers with meetings, report writing, and record-keeping.
• →Monitor each child’s progress in their placement and conduct required statutory visits.
• →Help manage and maintain contact between children and their birth families when appropriate.
• →Support foster carers in handling the emotions tied to these interactions.
• →Assess foster carers' needs for further training.
• →Guide them to enhance their skills, achieve personal goals, and meet high standards of care.
