JOB SUMMARY
The Food & Beverage Guest Service Assistant is responsible for supporting daily food and beverage operations by maintaining clean, safe, and well-organized service areas while delivering professional and courteous service to guests. The role ensures proper setup, cleanliness, closing procedures, and adherence to quality, safety, and service standards to enhance the overall guest experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning, restocking, and securing equipment and work areas.
- Set up and maintain clean, organized service stations throughout the shift.
- Inspect china, glassware, and silverware to ensure cleanliness and proper presentation.
- Follow clean-as-you-go practices to maintain hygiene and safety standards.
- Welcome and assist guests in a courteous and professional manner.
- Follow all company policies, safety, and security procedures; report hazards or incidents promptly.
- Maintain professional appearance and protect company assets and confidential information.
- Communicate clearly with guests and team members and support teamwork.
- Meet quality and service standards at all times.
- Perform physical tasks required for the role, including standing for long periods and lifting items up to 50 lbs.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by Supervisors.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Certificate or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage Operations, or a related field is an advantage.
- Previous food & beverage, hospitality, or service-related experience preferred.
- Strong attention to cleanliness, hygiene, and detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and company standards consistently.
- Physically fit to meet the demands of the role.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Must have legal working rights in Fiji
