MATTE is a 360° full-service creative studio at the convergence of hype, storytelling and design. Our studio capabilities range from strategic ideation and insights, creative development, branding and identity, experiential, web design and development, campaigns and content creation, all the way through full-scale production and execution.

The Brand, Music & Programming Intern will support MATTE’s Special Projects team across a range of cultural initiatives spanning brand partnerships, music programming, and experiential concepts. This role is ideal for someone deeply plugged into culture, with an interest in how brands show up through music, talent, and live experiences.

This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to creative and strategic development across projects that sit at the intersection of brand, entertainment, and community.

Responsibilities and learning opportunities include:

  • Support the development of special projects across brand partnerships, music programming, and cultural initiatives
  • Research artists, talent, cultural trends, and emerging scenes to inform programming and creative direction
  • Assist in building decks, mood boards, and presentations for internal and client-facing projects
  • Help identify and track potential collaborators, partners, and talent
  • Contribute to brainstorming sessions for experiential concepts, event formats, and brand activations
  • Assist with coordination and logistics for events, shoots, and programming moments as needed
  • Maintain organization of project materials, timelines, and references across multiple initiatives
  • Provide day-to-day support to the Special Projects team
  • Be a student of the industry: stay current on music, nightlife, fashion, and cultural trends shaping brand engagement

Requirements

  • Must be enrolled in a University or Master’s program.
  • Must be available for a minimum of 3 days per week to work at our offices in New York.
  • Must be available between June 1st, 2026 and August 7th, 2026 Internships begin June 1st, 2026.
  • Skilled in design, typography, and branding
  • Interest in commercial film, video advertising, and social media content creation
  • Time management ability, capacity to receive multiple assignments at once.
