Salary Information

Compensation plans are based on a multi-step progression system. The pay range reflects the entry level and maximum salary potential in the assigned pay grade. \r\n**A starting salary may be negotiated and will be commensurate with education, training and experience in alignment with pay administration policies** \r\n

Nature of Work

This is supervisory and administrative\r\nwork directing and overseeing the activities of Montgomery County Sheriff’s\r\nOffice operators and dispatchers assigned to a shift to include training operators\r\nand dispatchers and monitoring radio and telephone traffic. Employees in this\r\nclass are responsible for ensuring that all radio, telephone, and computer\r\nsystems are operating properly and that all 911 calls are handled consistently,\r\nefficiently, and appropriately. Employees report to and receive general\r\ninstructions from the Administrative Division\r\nSergeant. \r\n\r\n\r\n�\r\n

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must have at least four (4)\r\ncurrent years of combined E9-1-1 call processing and dispatching experience\r\nwith two (2) of those years in a dispatching capacity of an organization equal\r\nin programmatic (law/fire/EMS) and geographical size to the County of\r\nMontgomery.\r\n�\r\n�\r\nNOTE:� Qualifying education, training and experience\r\nthat provide the requisite knowledge, skills and abilities to perform the job\r\nwill be considered.\r\n\r\n\r\n�\r\n

Special Requirements

Must be available to work any hour shifts\r\nas needed to oversee operations and ensure consistency among the shifts. Must\r\nbe available to work weekends and holidays and during emergencies or natural\r\ndisasters as requested.\r\n
