Mitchell County Regional Health Center is in Osage, Iowa located in Mitchell County, which has a population of 10,600 people. About the Role
~1 min readPerforms all routine and all complex lab tests. Confirms and verifies results using knowledge of techniques, principles and instruments. Correlates and interprets results based on knowledge of physiological conditions. Recognizes problems, identifies causes and determines solution where no preset criteria is available. Monitors and resolves quality assurance problems. Evaluates and implements new methods and instruments.
- Education:
- Bachelor degree in science required.
- Board of Registry MLS (ASCP) certification, MT (ASCP) certification, MLS (AMT) certification, or HEWMT certification required.
- Membership and active participation in professional organization is desirable.
- Must demonstrate competence in BLS within six months in position by obtaining certification.
- Must be certified Mandatory Reporter within six months in position.
- Experience:
- Previous experience is preferred.
- Special Skills & Aptitudes:
- Must have ability to work flexible hours (call, Holidays, weekends)
- Must have ability to communicate effectively with other hospital personnel, patients, vendors, and service personnel.
