POSITION DUTIES
The Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is seeking highly experienced Sharepoint developers to support and enhance its enterprise applications and collaboration platforms. The Senior SharePoint Developer will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and enhancing SharePoint environments across on-premises and Microsoft 365 platforms, requiring deep technical knowledge, administrative expertise, and a focus on secure, scalable solutions.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nDesign, develop, deploy, and maintain SharePoint solutions across multiple on-premises and cloud-based SharePoint environments.\r\n\r\n\r\nDevelop custom SharePoint applications and web parts using:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\nC#, ASP.NET, SPFx, Visual Studio, JavaScript, JQuery, CSS\r\nCSOM, JSOM, JSON, SharePoint Web Services, ECMA scripts\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n \r\n Implement and support workflows, data visualizations, and automation using SharePoint Designer, Power Platform Tools, and Nintex.\r\n \r\n Configure, administer, and maintain SharePoint services (User Profiles, Search Services, Excel Services, Managed Metadata Service); manage SharePoint web applications, site collections, document libraries, and custom lists; administer permissions to ensure data integrity and security.�\r\n Migrate legacy SharePoint sites and content to newer versions using SQL stored procedures to support back-end integration (e.g., to SharePoint 2019 or Online), including from external sources like NetDocuments and local file systems using PowerShell scripts.�\r\n Provide Tier-2 and Tier-3 support, respond to service desk tickets, participate in weekly on-call rotations, resolve incidents, and manage change requests using the Remedy ticketing system.\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience:�Seven years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software.\r\nNotes: \r\n1. Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and thirty credit hours from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology for four years of the required experience.�\r\n2. Candidates may substitute graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate and one year of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for four years of the required experience.\r\n3.�Candidates may substitute experience operating computer systems; or scheduling, controlling input and output to process data on computer systems; or evaluating, implementing and maintaining computer hardware and software; or converting data from project specifications by developing program code using generally accepted computer programming languages on a year-for-year basis�for a high school education.\r\n4. Candidates may substitute the possession of a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Information Technology, Management Information Systems or other information technology-related field to include coursework in application, communication, database or operating systems software technology and three years of experience designing, developing, testing, implementing and maintaining application, communication, database or operating systems software for the required experience.\r\n5. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a commissioned officer in the�Computer Systems Operations classifications or Computer Systems Operations specialty codes in the Information Technology field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
\r\n� � � �•\tFamiliarity with DPSCS systems or similar justice or public safety information systems.\r\n� � � �•\tKnowledge of Remedy or similar IT service management platforms.\r\n� � � �•\tExperience with Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.�\r\n� � � �•\tMicrosoft SharePoint certifications or related Microsoft technologies are a plus.\r\n\r\n\r\n 10 years of hands-on experience in SharePoint development and administration\r\n Demonstrated experience working across multiple versions, including:\r\n �SharePoint 2019, and SharePoint Online� � ��\r\n �Proven experience with:\r\n �SharePoint migrations and upgrade projects� � � � � � � ��\r\n �Document management systems and governance strategies� � � ��\r\n �Experience supporting systems in public sector or highly regulated environments\r\n �Strong proficiency in:\r\n �C#, ASP.NET, SPFx (SharePoint Framework), Visual Studio� � � �\r\n �PowerShell scripting\r\n �SQL Server and IIS administration� ��\r\n �Front-end technologies: JavaScript, jQuery, CSS� ��\r\n �Experience with:\r\n �CSOM, JSOM, JSON\r\n �Hands-on experience developing and managing workflows using:�\r\n �SharePoint Designer, Power Automate, or Nintex\r\n �Strong knowledge of:\r\n �SharePoint Central Administration� ��\r\n �Service application configuration and management\r\n �Experience with environment setup, maintenance, and performance optimization\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
