Main Purpose of Job
This position and how it related to the mission of the agency. Incumbent provides clerical support to the Child Support Administration by maintaining the agency’s electronic file maintenance, document imaging systems and mail processing. Performs duties as assigned in accordance with established agency policy and procedures.\r\n
POSITION DUTIES
\r\n\r\n Maintain and Identify electronic�court orders and guidelines within a designated proxy email for download�and renaming. CSMS is used to look up information for the upload�process. Once complete, scan items to appropriate electronic case file�using ECMS.\r\n Maintains electronic files to ensure records are kept in�chronological order and current using ECMS. Verifies that electronic files not housed in ECMS have been deleted for at least four (4) years with specific closure codes; and these codes must be entered into the agency’s approved database and the records purged.\r\n Accept incoming mail from the US Postal�Service to open, log, and scan to our electronic case file using ECMS.\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of a high school equivalency certificate. \r\nExperience: One year of experience performing clerical duties. \r\nNotes: \r\n1. Candidates may substitute 30 credit hours of education at an accredited college or university for one year of the required experience. \r\n2. Six months clerical training with three courses in subjects such as keyboarding, clerical math, word processing, spreadsheets, database, graphics presentation, proofreading, or office etiquette may be substituted for six months of the required experience. \r\n3. Candidates may substitute U.S. Armed Forces military service experience as a non-commissioned officer in Administrative classifications or in Administrative, Clerical, or Office Services specialty codes in the Clerical Support field of work on a year-for-year basis for the required experience.\r\n
DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
The ideal candidate will possess:\r\nSix months of experience in clerical.\r\nSix months of experience in data entry.\r\nSix months of experience of file management (scanning, indexing).\r\n

BENEFITS
\r\nContractual employees who work for an agency covered under the State Employee and Retiree Health and Welfare Benefits Program, have a current employment contract and work 30 or more hours a week (or on average 130 hours per month) may be eligible for subsidized health benefits coverage for themselves and their dependents. As a contractual employee, you will be responsible for paying 25% of the premiums for your medical and prescription coverage, including any eligible dependents you have enrolled. The State of Maryland will subsidize the remaining 75% of the cost for these benefits. You can also elect to enroll in dental coverage, accidental death and dismemberment insurance, and life insurance, but will be responsible to pay the full premium for these benefits.\r\nLeave may be granted to a contractual employee at a rate of one hour for every 30 hours worked, not to exceed 40 hours per calendar year.\r\n\r\n
