Obstetrician-Gynaecologist for a Community Hospital in Southwestern Ontario

Location: 30 minutes south of London, Ontario Job Type: Full-time, Part-time Position Overview We are seeking a dedicated Obstetrician-Gynaecologist to join a collegial team of four generalists in a community hospital setting. The team attends approximately 700 deliveries annually and provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care in a supportive and collaborative environment. About the Hospital The hospital is a Level 2A facility with full paediatric and anaesthesia support. It collaborates closely with local midwives, offering consultative services. Candidates may begin in a locum capacity with the option to transition into a permanent position. The surgical department features state-of-the-art operating rooms (opened in 2018), fully equipped for advanced minimally invasive procedures such as laparoscopy and hysteroscopy. Position Highlights Start date: Immediate OR time: 2 days/month Home call: One weekday and one weekend per month Ambulatory care access: For procedures such as LEEPs Academic opportunities: Teaching and mentoring through the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry at Western University Compensation: $325,000–$425,000/year, depending on call schedule (currently 1:3, with higher earning potential). Candidate Requirements Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology Eligible for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO) Canadian citizenship or permanent residency Interest in minimally invasive gynaecology or urogynecology is considered an asset Why Join Us?
