Relationship Officer (Gozo)

Role Overview:

This role is ideal for individuals looking to build a career in banking and financial services while delivering excellent customer experience. The successful candidate will act as a first point of contact for customers, support day-to-day branch operations, generate new business opportunities, and collaborate closely with colleagues to ensure high service standards. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as the first point of contact for existing customers and prospects visiting the Gozo branch. 

• Assist and respond to customer queries related to e-banking and retail services. 

• Generate leads and actively contribute to new business development. 

• Promote and cross-sell the bank’s products and services in line with customer needs. 

• Work closely with team members to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction. 

• Perform administrative and operational duties as required by the role. 

• Stay up to date with financial news, industry best practices, and relevant legislation to effectively support customers. 

• Carry out any other duties as may be assigned from time to time by the Head of Personal Banking. 

Requirements & Qualifications 

• Able to work independently and as part of a team. 

• Be able to work under pressure and prioritise. 

• A diploma or degree qualification in Banking & Finance would be an asset. 

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. 

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Maltese and English. 

• Candidates with knowledge of the investment market will be given preference and or are willing to undertake a Diploma in Financial Advice (DipFA).
