We are looking to add an experienced Global PMO Director to our Vancouver location. The Global PMO Director will lead a portfolio of complex, customer-facing programs from late-stage pursuit through delivery and ramp-up, primarily in North and South America with planned expansion globally. This leader will partner closely with Business Development and cross-functional teams to ensure customer commitments are executable, risks are actively managed, and progress is visible through consistent reporting and stakeholder communication.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this senior leadership role will drive the successful implementation of our sensor and digital technology solutions at mining sites worldwide. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with solid expertise in project management, with experience delivering hardware and software technology to customers with large infrastructure projects, with superior capability in customer stakeholder negotiations and cross-functional collaboration.

This role is a trusted partner to the executive team and plays a critical role in scaling MineSense’s ability to deliver enterprise deployments.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of programs: partnering with Business Development at initial customer engagement, managing successful delivery of systems and data, monitoring with Field Services post installation.  
  • Establish a results-driven reporting process for tracking performance, progress and outcomes.
  • Deliver clear actionable insights to support timely decision making and continuous improvement.
  • Provide accurate, timely reporting on project status, risk and value delivery to Executive Leadership.
  • Collaborate closely with Business Development, Engineering, Data, Operations, Field Services and Finance to resolve issues and deliver customer excellence.
  • Build and develop a global high-performing team of project and program managers.
  • Champion best practices, process improvements and project management methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technical field or business or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of Program Management experience, including 5+ years leading a team.
  • Strong knowledge of project and portfolio management tools.
  • Demonstrated success managing cross-functional programs and teams in a hardware & software product business.
  • Extensive experience in customer engagement and partnering with Business Development.
  • Proven senior leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Proven track record of change management focused on building strong interdepartmental relationships and influencing people’s engagement and expectations.
  • Fluent in English and in Spanish.
  • Must be available to travel up to 50% within North America and South America. Must have a valid passport and a visa.
  • Experience in the Mining Industry is an Asset.
  • Self-starter, ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous and dynamic environments.

  • ADDITIONAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with project installations at remote sites.
  • Deep understanding of global market dynamics, cultural nuances and international business practices, prior focus on South America an asset.
  • Growth mindset: thrives on building and evolving the team as well as the governing processes as the business scales up.
  • Solid understanding of Contracts and Finance.
  • Ability to make and recommend data driven decisions.
  • Excels at relationship building at all levels internally and within customer organizations.
  • Able to thrive in an ambiguous environment.
