Contract Corporate Recruiter

We are seeking a smart, driven, and passionate Corporate Recruiter to help attract and hire exceptional talent at Mirum. The Recruiter will serve as a hands-on talent acquisition partner, specializing in biotechnology and pharmaceutical recruitment, and will play a critical role in identifying, engaging, and securing highly qualified candidates across the organization.

This role will partner closely with hiring managers and cross-functional leaders to deliver an outstanding candidate experience while helping build recruiting excellence and scalable talent acquisition practices within a rapidly growing biotech company.

***Must be in the Bay Area and willing to come on site minimum 3 days/week*** This is a contract role with opportunity to convert in the future. 

• →Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for assigned client teams and hiring managers, including sourcing, screening, interviewing candidates.
• →Consult with hiring managers to understand the business needs and develop talent acquisition strategies that support hiring the best talent available.
• →Identify talent gaps, and future needs to proactively source and develop a robust talent pool pipeline.
• →Communicate with executives and hiring managers clearly, concisely, and professionally.
• →Provide on-time and consistent follow-up with candidates and hiring managers to provide information on the interview process status.
• →Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive experience throughout the recruitment process.
• →Partner with HR colleagues to develop and implement recruitment initiatives, programs, and policies to enhance the effectiveness of our talent acquisition efforts.
• →Stay abreast of industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve recruitment strategies and processes.
• →Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Manage the full-cycle recruiting process for assigned client groups and hiring managers, including sourcing, screening, interviewing, and offer management.
• Partner closely with hiring managers to understand business objectives and develop effective recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
• Identify current and future talent needs and proactively build strong candidate pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with executives, hiring managers, candidates, and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Ensure timely and consistent follow-up with candidates and hiring teams throughout the interview and hiring process.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with candidates, ensuring a positive and engaging recruitment experience.
• Partner with HR colleagues to develop and implement recruiting programs, initiatives, and processes that enhance talent acquisition effectiveness.
• Stay current on industry trends, market intelligence, recruiting best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve recruiting strategies and processes.
• Support additional projects and responsibilities as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of full-cycle recruiting experience, within the biotechnology or pharmaceutical industry.
• Prior in-house corporate recruiting experience required; combination of agency and corporate recruiting experience preferred.
• Experience recruiting for scientific, clinical, technical, and/or corporate functions within biotech or pharma environments.
• Global recruiting experience is a plus.
• Rare disease industry experience preferred.

• Demonstrated ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic, and deadline-driven environment.
• Strong proficiency with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably Greenhouse, as well as HRIS platforms and recruiting technologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly, concisely, and professionally.
• Proven track record of successfully sourcing, attracting, and hiring top talent in competitive markets.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
