Review project drawings, standards and specifications for completeness and accuracy. Use computer assisted engineering and design software and equipment to produce CAD models/detail drawings.
Must be a shareholder of NANA Regional Corporation, Inc., or a direct descendant of a shareholder. In accordance with NANA's Shareholder Preference Hiring Policy, priority will be given to NANA shareholders first, followed by shareholder descendants.
Summary
Assists Discipline Engineers, Project Engineers, Project Managers, and/or Engineering Manager with all aspects of the project engineering from proposal to final report by performing any of the following duties.
NANA will provide lodging and transportation for applicants outside the Anchorage/Matsu Valley area. For more details, feel free to reach out! Internships will run from June to August with some flexibility based on individual availability.
Responsibilities
~1 min readAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of managers, clients or employees of organization.
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as fractions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of MS Word, word processing software, and MS Excel spreadsheet software.
No certifications required.
Preferred Qualifications
- A valid driver’s license and an acceptable driving record for the past three (3) years to be eligible under NANA’s vehicle insurance policy.
