Job Summary:
The Warehouse Operator carries out and assists in all warehouse functions and movements including, but not limited to, Receiving, Shipping, Order Processing, Inventory Control, Warehousing and operation of powered material equipment while taking into consideration the company’s commitment to our seven Core Values such as Sustainability (people, the planet, and profit) in the planning and implementation of all actions related to the area of responsibility.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for mobile equipment operation following safety procedures including pre shift inspection and maintenance
Load and unload trucks and trailers
Perform all receiving functions in an accurate and timely manner
Verify receipts with accuracy and detail while checking for damage
Labeling, wrapping and tagging of product and skids
Locating, retrieving and replacing products in the system via mobile equipment
Material Handling functions such as:
Kitting and staging of raw material and packaging materials
Returning unused material from manufacturing
Locating Work in Progress (WIP) in the warehouse
Handle requests of material transfers to other warehouses working with other departments as required
Maintain accurate inventory by using Factors ERP system (Syspro), and WMS
Retrieve materials from auto warehouse bin locations and recognize and identify auto warehouse equipment breakdowns, as required
Fully understand the floor bin location numbering system and be able to pick and put away inventory in these locations
Prepare outbound shipments of Finished Goods, Bulk and Packaging
Support inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory
Attend and participate in staff, cross functional and safety meetings as required
Ensure that warehouse is organized, clean, secure, and well maintained
Follow and adhere to all given instructions including Work Procedures (WP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP)
Strictly adhere to and observe all safety policies as outlined in the company policies and training sessions
Report all quality issues to department leadership
Contribute to a positive work environment and team atmosphere
Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
Technical
Proficient communication skills both verbal and written in the English language
Accuracy with documentation and transactions
Willing and able to obtain company provided power pallet jack and forklift operator certification
Knowledge of general warehouse procedures including shipping, receiving and inventory management functions an asset
Experience with ERP and WMS systems, Syspro in particular, an asset
Microsoft Office knowledge an asset
