Responsibilities
~1 min readThe Service Center Manager is focused on upholding current and establish new safety standards, monitor and audit safety in the workplace, communicating with and coaching employees on all aspects of safe work practices as a top priority.
This role is perfect for an individual who is organized, detailed-oriented, with great communication skills. A vital member of the Service Center Team, this is an opportunity to build a career with an industry leader.
- →Drive a safe working environment for all employees while maintaining safety guidelines. Ensure the facility is complying with, and is actively engaged in OGEP, corporate safety programs, and to effectively partner with local ‘Safety Coordinators’ to meet those goals and mandates.
- →Driver for continuous process improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kanban, Visual Factory, Inventory control, etc.)
- →Manage and control costs – materials and inventory costs, labor / OT costs, supplies, etc.
- →Achieve required financial performance – understand, set, meet, and exceed yearly sales goals and budgets, profit / margins, inventory turns, product needs, and production challenges.
- →Reach best in the market lead times, quality control, and OTIF / CSI performance
- 5 years industry experience, with prior management experience
- Bachelor’s in Management or related industry preferred
- Strong understanding of price, cost, and margin relationships; financial knowledge and business acumen necessary to manage facility P&L, budgeting, forecasting and expense control.
- Must be an effective communicator with logical, organized verbal and written communication w/ strong interpersonal skills including employee relations
