Who We Are Looking For: 
Phoenix Tailings is looking for an Engineering Technician to join our Exeter, NH team and support the buildout, operation, and improvement of the equipment powering our clean metals production. You will work hands-on with custom mechanical and electromechanical systems used to produce the critical materials needed for advanced technology, clean energy, and the future of manufacturing. 

This role is ideal for someone with 2+ years of hands-on technical experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to help build the foundation for a cleaner, more secure critical metals supply chain. 
 
 
  • Assemble, install, and maintain custom mechanical and electromechanical production equipment  
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues involving motors, pumps, sensors, valves, heaters, and mechanical assemblies
  • Perform preventative maintenance to improve equipment uptime, reliability, and safety  
  • Assist with equipment testing, commissioning, and production ramp-up 
  • Read and follow engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, and technical documentation  
  • Maintain clear maintenance records, test logs, and equipment documentation  
  • Identify equipment issues and improvement opportunities to help Phoenix Tailings scale faster and safer  
  •  
  • 2+ years of experience as an engineering technician, mechanical technician, maintenance technician, manufacturing technician, or similar role 
  • Experience assembling, maintaining, or troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, industrial, or electromechanical equipment 
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, work instructions, or technical manuals  
  • Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, measurement tools, and basic shop equipment  
  • Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and commitment to safety and quality  
  • Experience with fabrication, machining, welding, rigging, or industrial production equipment is a plus
