The Purpose:
As a Senior Product Manager in PPRO’s Transaction Processing Domain, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the payment experiences for our customers and partners, ensuring seamless, compliant, and efficient access to local payment methods & card payments. You will drive strategic product discovery and delivery, working at the intersection of Technology & Commercial teams to enable seamless adoption of various payment methods to some of the world’s leading fintechs, PSPs, and merchants.

You will set direction, communicate with all relevant stakeholders and lead effective product discoveries with your team & own the end outcomes with the deliveries. Our mission is to make local payment methods as ubiquitous and accessible as credit cards.
Own the Core: Drive the end-to-end lifecycle of PPRO’s transaction processing API engine, transforming complex market specific payment requirements into scalable, global product solutions.
Navigate the Narrow: Solve high-stakes technical and logic problems—from optimizing API performance to navigating intricate scheme rules—that ensure seamless money movement & merchant experience.
Bridge the Gap: Act as the strategic link between commercial goals and technical execution, translating market demands into clear, actionable engineering roadmaps.
Scale for Performance: Use a data-first approach to identify and eliminate friction in the payment flow, directly impacting authorization rates and platform reliability.
Stakeholder Orchestration: Lead cross-functional alignment across Engineering, Commercial & Account Management functions to deliver robust features in a highly regulated landscape.
Highly available & reliable payment processing platform with close to no downtimes & manual interventions for payment flows.
Seamless integration and expansion for PPRO’s customers globally and features into the core PPRO platform, replacing legacy integration methods.
Clear, data-driven insights into payment performance (acceptance rates, authorization rates, scheme metrics, uptime, latency), with real-time visibility for internal stakeholders.
Fintech & Payments Mastery: You possess extensive experience of Product Management, with a heavy emphasis on the fintech domain. You understand the lifecycle of a payment transaction, from checkout to settlement, and have navigated the complexities of card schemes, local payment methods (LPMs), or core banking infrastructure.
Navigating Complex API Platforms: You have a proven ability to dive into complex technical problems—such as Platform Architecture, Scalability & API Design—and solve them without losing sight of the broader commercial strategy as a Global Product.
Proven Technical Fluency: You have proven experience of working closely with Engineering teams, allowing you to bridge the gap between business requirements and technical feasibility effectively. You have spent 70% of time with Engineering counterparts.
End-to-End Ownership: You have a track record of taking complex, high-stakes products from discovery through to delivery. You are equally comfortable writing detailed technical specifications as you are presenting a long-term roadmap to executive stakeholders.
Analytical Rigor: You are fluent in using data (ex: BigQuery, Looker) & observability tools (ex: DataDog, Grafana etc). You know how to define success metrics for backend API systems (like latency, uptime etc.) and use data to identify key improvements that lead to massive scale.
