Pulse is currently seeking a reliable and experienced Band 5 Dispensary Pharmacy Technician to join a busy NHS hospital pharmacy service in South Yorkshire. This role offers an excellent opportunity to support the delivery of safe, efficient, and high‑quality dispensary services within a well‑established hospital environment. You will play a key role in ensuring the accurate supply of medicines, supporting clinical teams, and maintaining high standards of patient‑centred care.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Provide safe, accurate, and efficient dispensary services.
- →Support clinical screening and accuracy checking processes where required.
- →Deliver high‑quality medicines information and support to patients and healthcare professionals.
- →Work collaboratively with pharmacists, technicians, and wider MDT colleagues.
- →Ensure compliance with legal, professional, and organisational standards.
- →Contribute to audits, service development, and quality improvement initiatives.
- →Maintain accurate documentation and uphold robust governance practices.
Requirements
~1 min read- Registered Pharmacy Technician with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC).
- Previous NHS hospital experience (essential).
- Strong understanding of dispensary processes and medicines legislation.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment with strong attention to detail.
- A proactive, patient‑focused, and professional approach.
