RFSW Integration & Test Engineer

## Company: Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Cellular System Test Engineering General Summary: ## Role Overview As an RFSW Integration & Test Engineer, you will contribute to the integration, validation, and testing of RF software on modem platforms. You will work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure feature correctness, stability, and quality of RF systems in 5G/6G devices ## Key Responsibilities * Execute integration and validation of RF software features (e.g., FR1/FR2, uplink/downlink scenarios) under guidance * Develop and execute test cases for functional, regression, and system-level validation * Support RF hardware and software bring-up activities for new platforms and features * Debug and troubleshoot RF test and calibration issues, with support from senior engineers * Analyze logs, test results, and failures to assist in root cause identification * Validate RF software releases and report issues using standard tracking tools * Assist in building and maintaining automation scripts and test frameworks * Participate in setup and maintenance of RF test lab environments and equipment * Collaborate with RF, Modem SW, and system test teams to track and resolve issues * Document test results, issues, and learnings clearly # ## Minimum Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or related field * 0–3 years of experience in RF testing, embedded systems, or software validation preferred # # Preferred Skills & Qualifications ## Technical Skills * Basic understanding of * RF fundamentals (TX/RX chains, calibration concepts) * Wireless technologies (LTE, 5G NR; exposure is sufficient) * Familiarity with: * RF test equipment (spectrum analyzer, signal generator, power meters) * Base station simulators (e.g., CMW500) * Exposure to debugging in embedded or system-level environments ## Software, Automation & AI/ML Skills * Basic programming/scripting skills in Python, Shell, or similar * Exposure to test automation concepts or frameworks * Familiarity with Linux/Android environments * Interest or exposure to data analysis and log processing * Awareness of AI/ML concepts or tools (e.g., using AI-assisted debugging or automation tools) * Willingness to learn and apply automation and AI techniques to improve test efficiency ## Professional Skills * Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset * Willingness to learn quickly in a fast-paced engineering environment * Good communication and collaboration skills * Attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes ## Applicants: Qualcomm is an equal opportunity employer. Pay range and Other Compensation & Benefits: $89,000.00 - $133,600.00 The above pay scale reflects the broad, minimum to maximum, pay scale for this job code for the location for which it has been posted.
