## Company: Qualcomm China ## Job Area: Engineering Group, Engineering Group > Software Applications Engineering General Summary: PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * Identifies customer problems and brings them to attention of manager and/or project leaders. * Shares customer input with others on team regarding modifications to Qualcomm solutions. * Supports root cause analyses on basic customer problems to identify underlying issue. * Supports the debugging of basic issues in customer software systems. REQUIRED COMPETENCIES: * Good knowledge of android developing/debug skills. * C/C++ Programming * Debugging skills on multi-processor environments * In-depth knowledge of Linux and Android fundamentals and operations * Strong analytical skills * Intermediate expertise in SurfaceFlinger or DRM or Weston * familiarity with systrace or ftrace and so on. * Understanding of display HW architecture * Experience optimizing benchmarks, user experience and memory on Android display * Experience on Qualcomm platforms is a plus MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: * 3+ years experience with debugging techniques. * 3+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. Minimum Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 2+ years of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 1+ year of Software Applications Engineering, Software Development experience, or related work experience. OR PhD in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc. • 1+ year of any combination of academic and/or work experience with debugging techniques.
