Senior Staff Applications Engineer

Develop and demonstrate applications using Infineon's MCU products, including writing code, testing on hardware, and creating documentation. Your Role Key responsibilities in your new role * Develop and demonstrate applications using Infineon's MCU products, including writing code, testing on hardware, and creating documentation. * Optimize the performance of MCU-based systems, including improving power consumption, reducing latency, and increasing throughput. * Provide design proposals and technical definitions for firmware, middleware, and hardware blocks. * Work cross-functionally with marketing, customers, and design teams to create suitable product solutions. * Write technical articles, application notes and represent Infineon in trade shows and external forums. * Enable design-in projects using Infineon’s IoT portfolio and produce system-level content. * Technical training for external customers and Infineon sales, marketing, and applications teams. * Initiate and drive creative end solutions using product’s capabilities and feature set. * Conduct competitive analysis and monitor current trends in technology. Your Profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed * BTech/MTech in Electronics, Computer Science or similar field * Minimum 8-12 years of experience with a strong background in IoT application development, embedded systems, and MCU-based design * Experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with a focus on Microcontrollers, wireless connectivity, and IoT * Sound understanding of C programming and ARM Cortex-M Architecture based MCUs. * Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) such as FreeRTOS, Zephyr and middleware for wireless applications such as lwIP, ThreadX,and MbedTLS. Understanding of low-power design principles and techniques for wireless applications, including power management and optimization. * Understanding of security protocols and technologies, such as SSL/TLS,AES, and secure boot mechanisms. * Familiarity with wireless protocols such as classic Bluetooth, Bluetooth Low Energy, Matter, Thread etc. * Knowledge on classic Bluetooth audio and LE audio is a plus * Familiarity with cloud connectivity platforms such as AWS and Azure and protocols such as MQTT and HTTP is a plus * Good understanding of over-the-air (OTA) firmware update methods using different protocols * Good understanding of Digital and Analog peripherals and inter chip communication protocols such as I2C, UART, SPI, I2S, SDIO, QSPI etc. * Ability to solve and root-cause complex multi-level engineering problems. * Good verbal & written communication skills and mindset of teamwork. * Must be passionate to learn new technologies and work in a fast-paced environment. * Prior experience in writing technical documents like application notes and technical reference manuals etc. is a plus * Experience in multicore software development is a plus.
